Gold Coast Knights of Kiwanis

Serving the Children of the World

Boca Raton, FL

Being a member of Kiwanis has enriched my life in so many ways. I have experienced the rewarding feeling of helping others through a variety of activities in the company of very caring, generous people. We have hosted golf tournaments where the proceeds went to needy children, collected books and made "care bags" filled with the essentials for homeless children, prepared meals for families staying at Ronald McDonald House, and so much more. These are just a few of the memorable experiences I've enjoyed over the years as a member of Kiwanis.

My membership with the Gold Coast Knights of Kiwanis only started 3 short months ago. Since the very first day, the members extended a warm welcome to me and made me feel like part of the family. I have been touched by their generosity, and feel privileged to serve the children and charities of our community with such a group of selfless and caring individuals. WAY TO GO GOLD COAST KNIGHTS!!

Our family has been having so much fun at our recent service projects!!!  A couple weeks ago a number of us had a very busy Saturday - first at the Children's Hospital making Halloween crafts with the kids, then at that Ronald McDonald House serving the families that stay there a Halloween themed meal (Deviled eggs, Mummy meatloaf, and Cat Litter Box cake), and then the best part of the night - the Glam-a-thon!  So many people wearing pink wigs, feathered boas, and bright pink heels - all in the name of Breast Cancer Research!  After our projects about 8 of us went to a great little Irish Pub and had good food, great conversation, and heard good music!  Dave and I brought our 3 girls and we had a ball, while instilling the importance of helping others to them.  Looking forward to the next projects!!!
